We explore the Atlanta Child Murders, a series of killings and disappearances of young African-American children that terrorised Atlanta between 1979 and 1981. We hear from the investigators who worked the case and examine how crucial forensic evidence, including hairs and fibres, helped lead police to a suspect.

We also examine how investigators linked the cases together and why many believe the same killer was responsible for the wider series of murders, after bodies of children started appearing in rivers across Atlanta. We also dive into the crucial questions that remain surrounding the unsolved cases and the decision to reopen the investigation in 2019.
